Mike P surged to the top of the popularity list among Connex247 visitors when we launched the new version in 2006, and has remained there ever since. So, when we decided to launch a new feature called WEBSTARS, Mike, who hails from Winnipeg, Canada, but is now located in Florida, was our pick to start the series.
WEBSTARS will feature those who are maximizing the potential of the web in their careers as models, actors, entertainers, etc. and please email me atmailto:at michael@connex247.comif you would like to be featured or suggest someone. The idea comes from talks with Leighton Stultz and others of the Myspace, YouTube generation.
When I asked if we could feature him as the first Webstar, Mike agreed but as usual insisted that one of his friends, in this case, Kory Scoran, who works with him on one of his web ventures also be included. Kory, also a Canadian who plays professional hockey in the United States stars on http://musclestudcam.com/ with Mike and some of their other buddies.
They are a very close knit group of friends as Kory explained in an interview with Connex247. He said that photo shoots he had done have been awesome because his best friends were also involved, adding "I owe it all to Mike who got me started."
Mike realizes that while he is very popular right now as a model he needs to prepare for his future, and as a young entrepreneur, he established Musclestudcam.com as one venture. Undoubtedly, more will be forthcoming.
"It is going real well," Mike told me recently. "And the great thing is that we are all buddies. Even the webmaster, who happens to be my best friend."The site, which is very well designed contains galleries of each of the models featured on the site. archives of the popular chats held each night of the week with guys taking turn in rotation, and each chat is archived and posted within 24 hours so members are able to see it.I visited one of Mike's chats and was amazed at the friendly atmosphere. Mike is a gifted performer with a great sense of humour, and the conversation is full of friendly banter. In fact everyone seems to know everyone and they chat away as old friends. For example, big news was that one member's dog dog had puppies the night I was there. There is also a very popular interactive forum on the site where members can chat and get the latest updates. It is hosted by Danny, who has been so helpful to us in preparing this feature. Danny says that Musclestudcam.com is his favorite web site as the chat sessions "are out of this world" and there is great member participation."Mike is the absolute muscle god, but beware Mikeee -- Kory is right on your ass. "Mike and Kory are teaming up now to do a live duo chat while Kory is on a hockey break in Florida. This is a new innovation as Mike constantly looks for new ways to keep up the interest and maximize the potential of the web.
So, in launching WEBSTARS we picked Mike as an example of a young person who recognized the potential of new media, convinced his best buddies to join him and launched Musclestudcam.com. They will also take the opportunity to produce some video clips and add photos to the gallery. Mike also hopes to do a DVD with Kory. Our big news is that soon we will be adding Mike and Kory products to the Connex247store. We are delighted that they have agreed to work with us.
